The 17th Biennial Design Awards

Celebrate 30 Years of Design Excellence

To acknowledge excellence in urban planning and architecture, innovative and creative design solutions, and preservation of historic structures and places in Berkeley.

Every two years, Berkeley Design Advocates holds the BDA Design Awards. A jury considers applications submitted by design professionals, owners, and builders of new projects, renovation and restoration works, and urban design plans in the City of Berkeley. Projects that exemplify the best in architecture, landscape architecture, preservation, and planning are selected by the jury for an award.

Any project that has received a Certificate of Occupancy between January 2025 and December 2026 is eligible. Applications are now open. We look forward to seeing your work!
